NEW IC FORKLIFTS
A Forklift to Suit All Your Needs
When choosing a new forklift to purchase, it’s important to consider where you’ll be using it and what you’ll be using it for. Will it be used solely indoors on flat surfaces, or will it be used outside on rough terrain? Will it be exposed to rain and other inclement weather? How much does the average load weigh at your warehouse?
Once you have the answers to those questions, you can start narrowing down which IC forklift is best for you. At Mid-Ohio Material Handling, we offer both pneumatic and cushion models and both types are available in a range of weight capacities, from 3,000 pounds to 55,000 pounds.
Pneumatic vs Cushion IC Forklifts
Some internal combustion forklifts come with pneumatic tires, which are similar to the tires on a standard car or truck. These tires have great grip, making them ideal for uneven surfaces. When you need to haul materials around at a construction site or navigate through a lumber yard, a forklift with pneumatic tires is the best choice.
However, if you’re going to be using the forklift indoors, cushion tires might be the better option. These tires are smaller and are made from solid rubber. They’re well-suited for maneuvering between tight aisles inside of a warehouse.
